Why we're building this
Grandparents shouldn't need a smartphone to hear their grandchild's voice.
In most families we know, the people who miss a child's voice most — Dada, Dadi, an uncle two cities away — are also the ones least comfortable opening an app, finding a chat, and pressing record.
Beacom removes every one of those steps for the child. One button to listen. Hold it to reply. The grandparent's side stays exactly as it is today — their own phone, their own WhatsApp.
A second button connects a child directly to a cousin's box in another city — no WhatsApp, no phone, just the two boxes talking to each other.
